We're celebrating World Book Day 2017 with a wide array of wonderful reading and book activities including:
Students Dressing Up (optional) as a book character related to their year group topics.
Years 5 and 6- Far Eastern Odyssey.
Years 4 and 5 - Is it a Bird, Is it a Plane.
Years 1 and 2 - Dungeons and Dragons
Foundation Stage - Traditional Tales or Super Humans (not super heroes)
Each class will be sending out ideas for cost effective costumes before half term. You do not have to go and buy anything special, part of the fun is making a costume together! Get creative!
Some of the events during the day:
Reading Cafe - come and listen to story with your child, enjoy a cake and a drink and stay and share a book with your child.
D.E.A.R - Drop Everything And Read. We are goung to be doing just that. Listen for the bell. Drop what you are doing and get #stuckintoabook.
Storytelling events- special characters will be reading their favourite books all round school.
Gifting the Love of a Book - reading and Learning Zone books swap. Which book will students get?
All students will receive their World Book Day 2017 book token.
